Mike Ference has spent more than a decade in government service working for senior Republicans in both the House and Senate. Most recently, he spent over six years working for the House Leadership as Director for Strategic Development and Senior Policy Advisor to former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor of Virginia and former House Republican Whip, now Senator, Roy Blunt of Missouri.
During his time serving the House Republican Leadership, Ference led the policy efforts and national outreach operation to the energy, financial services, high-tech, business and academic communities. In addition, his responsibilities included managing committee activity, building coalitions and shepherding legislation related to banking, financial services, energy, environment, natural resources and telecommunications.
Before joining the House Whip Team in 2006, Mike served as a legislative staff member for Senator James M. Inhofe of Oklahoma. Mike started his tenure on Capitol Hill as an aide for Congressman Christopher Smith of New Jersey.
In addition to Mike’s government service, he took a hiatus from Capitol Hill to return to Pennsylvania to successfully start a small energy company. As the owner and operator, Mike managed over 20 employees.
Raised in Pennsylvania, Mike is a graduate of St. Joseph’s University.
